Saudi closes Riyadh airport after fresh Houthi missile strike

Saudi Arabia closed King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Saturday after Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi militants hit Terminal 3 with missiles, injuring several people and forcing an evacuation. Officials suspended operations and sent ambulances and helicopters to take the wounded to King Fahad hospital while flights were diverted or canceled, a day after attacks authorities said killed three Saudis including a Saudia pilot and destroyed a passenger jet. The strike follows three other deaths in Houthi airport attacks on Oct. 6 and 7 amid renewed war over the summer, prompting Western embassy warnings and President Trump to say the U.S. could join Saudi strikes as the attacks threaten business travel ahead of the Future Investment Initiative summit.
